HOLIDAY SPLASH - RED AND WHITE VANESSA

This gorgeous Red and white Splash Plant is the same as Vanessa - but in a stunning red and white. It comes in a bisque-white ceramic pot. 

 This hard to find Splash Plant mix or Hypoestes phyllostachya is usually called 'red Splash', but other common names are “Polka-dot Plant” or “Freckle Face”. Everyone is charmed by Vanessa, but she can be finicky! Please make sure you're a watering-conscious plant parent if you're going to invite Vanessa into your home!  

• Light: Medium to low indirect light

• Water: Your soil should always feel slightly damp, but never swampy! Misting is AWESOME for Vanessa, as she loves to be in humid climates (like the rain forest, y'all! she's a native of South Africa, Madagascar, and south east Asia). 

• Considerations: Vanessa is sensitive to environmental stress, and drought. She may wilt like a little brat if she gets dry, but just water her, and she should pop back up. High humidity and persistent watering will help this plant thrive.
